Flatter Your Figure
Wear clothes that flatter your figure, whatever shape it’s in. There are women’s shirts that help hide imperfections and unsightly bulges. You just have to know what women’s fashion styles to pick. Experiment and keep trying on different clothes until you find the best fit for your body.
Use color to bring attention to your most attractive attributes. Dark and monochromatic colors can make you look slimmer and taller. Find fabrics that are not too clingy or too stiff but drapes and moves easily around your body. For women with bulging tummies, stay away from tucked-in tee shirts, pants with front zippers and belts. Instead, wear shirts that fall just above your hipbone and wear some jewelry on the top half of your body to take the focus away from your tummy.
The New Line from Adidas
In the sports world, innovations are constantly being made to existing sportswear and equipment to enhance an athlete’s performance. Adidas has always been in the forefront of sportswear and footwear innovations. Only recently, they have come out with the new line Adidas womens shoes. Many different professional athletes were consulted and involved in this project. Because of this the Adidas Climacool line’s popularity has increased among most pro athletes.
The basic premise of this line is it is made with breathable materials that keep the feet from getting overheated and “cooked” inside the shoe. It’s lightweight and comfortable. The designs are very stylish and streamlined. Another cool thing about this shoe is that it “wicks” or absorbs moisture away from the foot. This way, the feet remain dry and the onset of foul odors is prevented.
Paradise for Clothes Makers
Textiles don’t sound too exciting to the average person. That’s because most people prefer to purchase clothing that has already been designed and sewn for them. But if you’re one of those creative types, like me, you know that planning and producing your own clothes can be more fun than a birthday party. You probably also know how magnificently rewarding it feels to wear your newly crafted item and receive a compliment. It never gets old!
For closet clothing makers or aspiring creators of women’s designer fashion, a trip to the fabric store is like a mini vacation to paradise. There are so many kinds of fabrics to choose from, your next project could take a turn in any direction. Without a plan in mind, I’ve been inspired to create two backpack purses, an apron, a skirt and pajama pants just from wandering around the giant warehouse of threads. Next time you pass the fabric store, take a look around – I dare you – and see what inspires you.
Stay Festive and Chic this Holiday Season

The world of women’s fashion can be a tricky place to navigate. There’s an entire laundry list of rules, but they are all simply “understood.” There’s no rule book that explains all the ins and outs of fashion, and there never will be. Why? Because the rules are constantly changing.
The color red has proved particularly tricky for people to figure out in the past. When worn around Valentine’s Day or Christmas, the color can seem gimmicky. Still, it’s a wonderfully deep and rich color that can add a lot to your autumn and winter wardrobe. So how do you wear red without looking like you’re in a holiday-themed costume?
The key is to make it understated and luxurious. A red sweater-especially anything with designs like autumn leaves or Santa’s reindeer-can seem tacky. But if you wear a cowl neck sweater in red cashmere with pinstripe black slacks, that’s an entirely different feel.
